Thank Goodness the Rains Stopped!

What a crappy, rainy summer we had! Most times we couldn't even mow the grass because the yard never dried out. We even had a mini flood. The creek/ditch in front of our property overflowed, but luckily it didn't wash it out. The first picture is of our retaining wall in the back of the house, there is not supposed to be a water spout coming from there, lol.

But, the rain is over, and the yard looks nice. We have been able to play some golf and get out a little. But right now it is still a little hot and I am looking forward to fall.

I did get a little sewing done during the rains. My son's girlfriend wanted me to make some UNC inspired table things as a surprise for him. She bought the fabric, and I made everything I could think of from it!!

I made a table runner, cloth napkins, coasters, and a headband for her. It was a hit.

I made an apron for my ggd. She has to wear one for work.

Oh, I moved my sewing area from the garage into the biggest spare bedroom. The quilting frame will stay out there, as well as the bulk of my fabric. It's much nicer to stay inside, has much better light, plus fewer spider webs. I am moving most things in slowly but surely.

I'm working on 2 other projects as well, which I will share with you in another post. Figured I should start off slowly, it has been a long time.
